Basic Life Support
Alert’s fleet of ambulances are ready and available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to meet the needs of our clients. Alert Ambulance Service’s Basic Life Support (BLS) is for patients who require critical transportation and consistent restorative supervision/observing. Our emergency medical technicians (EMTs), our critical health professionals, are prepared to make important treatment decisions, and staff each Alert Ambulance BLS ambulance.
All of our emergency ambulances are fully licensed and exceed state requirements. Each vehicle is staffed by two NJDOH certified Emergency Medical Technicians. Each unit remains in contact with our Communications Center via the use of our communications system consisting of VHF and UHF radios, and Verizon Push to Talk (PTT) communications equipment.
One call to our Communications Center sets our team in motion. Whether an emergency, a trip to a doctor’s office, hospital, or dialysis unit, we stand ready to meet your needs.
We are also available to handle special event Stand-bys including company picnics, sporting events, auto racing , and similar events.

Regular BLS transport circumstances include:
- Restorative and surgical patients not requiring heart observing
- Release to home as well as sub-intense care offices (i.e. nursing homes, recovery offices)
- Mental patients
Every ambulance conveys Basic Life Support (BLS) medicinal supplies, including glucometers, albuterol, defibrillators, headache medicine, EpiPens, heart beat oximetry, intranasal naloxone organization, braces, gauze, oxygen tanks and covers, and spinal immobilization gear.
