Alert Ambulance is progressive in the fact it maintains an in house Information Technology Department. Keeping in house staff vs. total outsourcing provides for rapid response to computer related problems. This solution benefits the company in reducing cost due to prolonged down time, consulting fees, and relying on outside resources for repairs and infrastructure planning and upgrades.
Alerts infrastructure consists of over 70 Windows based workstations, 26 Windows 2000 & 2003 Servers, Novell Servers, Network connected HP laser printers, and more. Our network speed is 1000 MBS switched to the desktop with a 2000 MBS backbone connecting various portions of the building and Gigabit connections to our servers. We are also employ the use of T1 connections and wireless CDMA connections to our vehicles.
Many aspects of our company are computer based including but not limited to Our Dispatch system, Billing system, Voicemail system, Auto Attendant system, Various Business and Finance systems, Document storage system, Telephone and Radio recording system and Bio-metric time and Attendance system. And we are deploying in June 2008 a paperless EPCR (Electronic patient Care Report ) sysytem.
